Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Clip-It.AI ("we", "us") is a service that turns stream recordings into short videos and, with your approval, posts them to your social media accounts. It is operated from Washington, DC, United States. For users in the UK and European Economic Area, we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@clip-it.ai.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account and waitlist details: your email address, name, and the channel names you give us.
- Channel profile: your brand settings, such as channel name, handles, caption style, hashtags and the editing preferences you set.
- Feedback: the clips you approve, reject or edit, and any comments you leave. We use these to learn your editing preferences.
- Billing details: payments are handled by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record. We receive your subscription status and country, but we never receive or store your full card details.
Information from your recordings
- On your computer: the Clip-It.AI desktop app analyses your stream recordings locally. Your full recordings are not uploaded to us.
- Sent to us for analysis: a text transcript of the speech in your recording, with timings, and moment data such as audio levels and markers.
- Clips: the short videos Clip-It.AI makes, and their thumbnails, captions, titles and hashtags. These are uploaded so you can review them on your phone and so that we can post them.
Your recordings, and therefore your clips, may include your voice, your face and other people, such as viewers' names or messages shown on screen. You are responsible for having the rights to post that content (see our Terms).
Information from connected accounts
When you connect a social media account (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or Facebook), we receive an access token from that platform. We also receive the basic profile information it shares: account ID, display name, username and profile picture. Where you allow it, we also receive the IDs, status and performance statistics (views, likes, comments, shares) of the videos we post for you. We do not receive your password for any platform.
Information collected automatically
We collect basic technical information: app version, device type, operating system, crash reports, IP address and the times you use the service. We use it to run, secure and improve Clip-It.AI. Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Who we share it with

Clip-It.AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use YouTube data only to post your approved clips and show you their performance. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide this feature.

7. International transfers
Clip-It.AI is based in the United States, and we and some of our providers process data there. For users in the UK and EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
8. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, keep platform tokens encrypted, limit staff access, and keep your full recordings on your own computer. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you, and the regulator, as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your information. You can also object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email privacy@clip-it.ai or see our data deletion page. We will respond within one month.
US residents: depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others), you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, to get a copy of it, and to opt out of its sale, of targeted advertising and of profiling. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for using your rights. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response.
UK and EEA residents: you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Clip-It.AI is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. You must also meet the minimum age of each platform you connect. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy a subscription.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
